IBM Unveils watsonx Generative AI Capabilities to Accelerate Mainframe Application Modernization

On August 22, 2023, IBM announced watsonx Code Assistant for Z which is a new generative AI-assisted product that'll help enable faster translation of COBOL to Java on IBM Z. Application modernization is critical for companies who want to stay on the forefront and it's getting more difficult each year to find the resources who are able to maintain and update legacy COBOL code.
